About the system

What is EPDM flooring?

EPDM is EPDM rubber granules mixed with a polyurethane binder and poured in place. It gives a resilient, slip-resistant, impact-absorbing surface that is safer to fall on, comes in a wide range of bright colors and stands up to sun and rain. It suits playgrounds, running tracks, exercise areas and other spaces where safety matters, and is laid over concrete or asphalt.

Q&A

FAQ · EPDM

Where does EPDM flooring fit?
Playgrounds, running tracks, exercise areas and spaces that need protection against slips and falls
How thick should it be?
Choose by use: playgrounds, where safety comes first, use ~20–40 mm; general running tracks ~10–15 mm
Does the color last? Does it fade in the sun?
EPDM granules resist UV and hold their color better than standard SBR rubber, which slows fading outdoors
Can it be laid on new concrete right away?
The concrete must cure and be completely dry before the rubber is poured, for good adhesion
How is it maintained?
Hose down regularly and avoid sharp objects. The rubber surface lasts for many years and can be repaired in patches
